According to a report released by the United States Chamber of Commerce in September 2025, there is a large gap between high school graduates and workforce readiness. According to the report 84% of hiring managers believe that recent graduates are not ready to enter the workforce. They also stress that available trade programs and career-oriented resources are being underutilized. Further, according to Cengage’s 2025 Employability Report prospective employees rate job-related skills as their biggest educational gap. This problem persists in Pennsylvania with a large gap between skills and required degrees and available jobs.
We are currently developing a variety of resources that can be used free of charge by parents and educators to enhance future workforce readiness in the state of Pennsylvania. Recently, Kid Careers has developed a jobs database with descriptions written on the middle school level to help get children interested in their future career path. We are currently working to develop lesson plans, educational videos, and a career path orientation and tracking application to further support our mission. We need your help to achieve these goals. Please donate today to help create a better future for the state of Pennsylvania!
